It has come to our attention the state of Michigan has continued cracking down on DTC sales and compliance. Recently, the state had an individual order a single bottle of wine from a winery’s website to be shipped into MI.  The winery shipped the wine under their MI DTC license, however, the carefully selected wine was not one of the products registered in the state.  The winery was issued a citation and faces a fine or possible court appearance in Michigan.

If you hold a MI DTC license, please verify all products shipped to Michigan have been registered with the state.

As always, if a customer orders one bottle of wine and is willing to pay shipping fees that are higher than the price of the wine, BE OVERLY CAUTIOUS.
